Elevare Red light therapy review

Red light therapy is incredible for wrinkle-reduction and anti-aging. It works by deeply penetrating the skin and stimulating its self-repair mechanisms, boosting collagen production for tighter skin and fewer wrinkles.

Nowadays, there are many red light devices on the market, and their prices can skew widely.

One popular brand is Elevare, with hand-held red light therapy devices that cost thousands of dollars. But do you really need to spend that much to enjoy the benefits of red light therapy?

We’ll answer this question in this Elevare red light therapy review, and compare Elevare’s devices to the much more affordable Infrawave red light therapy wand from Evertone.

Elevare Skin review

Elevare is a brand focused on producing anti-aging beauty devices with LED light therapy. Its products are often sold in medspa or clinics, and the first thing customers might notice is their high price tag.

There are several red light devices in Elevare’s portfolio. The Elevare RED and Elevare Plus+ both emit both red and near-infrared light. The two devices are incredibly expensive, in part because they’ve undergone FDA clearance as medical devices.

Elevare also cites a clinical study the brand has done in-house, but unfortunately, we weren’t able to find any information on how many participants the study had, or whether it featured any controls.

The most affordable product from Elevare is the Mini, which is smaller in size and combines red light with microcurrent, therapeutic warmth, and vibrating massage.

Evertone Red Light Therapy Wand

Evertone is a beauty brand focused on creating products that really work, and improve women’s skin from head to toe. Evertone produces the Infrawave, an affordable red light therapy wand that also stimulates the skin with microcurrent, massage, and heat therapies.

In addition to the wand, Evertone also produces scientifically-backed body care products to address cellulite and stretch marks, as well as several other beauty devices.

Elevare Red Light Therapy vs. Evertone Red Light Therapy Wand: Key Differences

So how do the Evertone and Elevare red light devices compare? Here are some key factors you’ll want to consider.

Promised Effects
Evertone and Elevare’s devices make similar promises. Both brands highlight the ability of red light therapy to increase the skin’s collagen production, improving its firmness and visibly reducing fine lines and wrinkles. They also touch on additional benefits of microcurrent and vibration massage, like improved skin clarity, reduction in blemishes, and an overall more contoured, youthful, and refreshed appearance.

Treatment Options
Elevare’s devices range in options. The more expensive RED and Plus+ devices feature both red and near-infrared (NIR) light therapy, as well as heat therapy. The combination of red and NIR light can penetrate deeply, potentially impacting lower levels of the skin. However, it’s important to mention that while near-infrared light therapy is likely safe for the skin from a distance, it does have the potential to burn or damage the skin if it comes in direct contact, since, unlike red light, NIR does heat up. Elevare’s Mini device offers the same treatment options as Evertone’s Infrawave. Both devices emit red light to address signs of skin aging and sensitivity, along with toning microcurrent, de-puffing vibrational massage, and gentle heat to improve skincare penetration.

 Ease of Use
Both Elevare and Evertone red light devices are very easy to use. Evertone’s red light device is easy to charge with a USB cord, and turning it on is done with just the press of a button. It should always be used over cleansed skin that has been treated with a hydrating serum, such as the Everglow device activating serum. Elevare’s devices are best used without any serums or lotions at first, but otherwise, the process is very similar.

 Design and Portability
Both brands offer hand-held wands that make them easy to move around and control as you wish. The Elevare RED and Plus+ are both on the larger side, so holding them for long periods of time can be a little fatiguing. This isn’t an issue with the tiny Mini. The Evertone Infrawave is designed to be a portable and convenient red light therapy device, so it’s easy to pack away in your bag (and it holds enough charge that you can leave the charger behind). Like the Mini, it’s easy to hold and use on whichever part of your face or body you wish.

 Cost
The Evertone Red Light Therapy wand retails for as little as $74.00. By comparison, the Elevare Mini retails for $750, making it more than ten times the cost. Elevare’s larger red light devices retail for anywhere from $4700 to $10,700. Having analyzed the brand carefully, it’s unclear why Elevare’s products are so much more expensive. Their FDA registration and warranty explain a slight hike in price, but not to this extent.

Bottom Line: Which Is Better?

It’s hard to compare a ten thousand-dollar device to one that costs less than one hundred. Elevare’s two larger red light devices, the RED and Plus+, boast larger LED light panels and dual-wavelength capabilities, making them undeniably powerful and effective choices (albeit with some added risks from the near-infrared light).

But it still begs the question - does the increase in power merit paying 60 times more for a device? For the cost of one Elevare Plus+, you could purchase over sixty Evertone Infrawave wands.

The Elevare Mini and Evertone Infrawave are incredibly similar. Both are small and portable. Neither includes near-infrared light, but both feature heat, microcurrent, and vibration massage therapies. But, for the cost of one Elevare Mini, you could easily purchase ten Evertone red light therapy wands.

So to summarize, we’re certainly impressed by Elevare’s more upscale devices, but we don’t think the price is justified when more affordable options like the Evertone exist. Ultimately, it’s up to you to consider your budget when shopping for beauty devices, and to decide how much you’re willing to spend.
