TheraFace Microcurrent Review

TheraFace is a facial device from Therabody, which is a brand largely known for its hand-held percussive massager. The brand’s first hit product, the Theragun, is designed to help release tight muscles and encourage lymphatic drainage.

  The TheraFace device is unique - it has a base similar to the Theragun, that comes with several heads. The heads attach to the TheraFace base, allowing for many kinds of treatments. A lot of the heads are percussive, much like the original Theragun, providing a deep massage that can relax facial muscles. One of the heads emits a skin-stimulating electric current, which we will focus on throughout this TheraFace microcurrent review.

Evertone offers products with head-to-toe benefits, using ingredients and technologies that are proven to work. Its line of devices features the Everlift, an affordable microcurrent device that works on contact to encourage the renewal of collagen and elastin while helping to firm and depuff the skin.

  Evertone’s line features other tools, though - the Infrawave is another popular device that combines microcurrent and red light energy. It stimulates the skin on an even more holistic level, to significantly boost collagen production while providing a milder lift.

To decide between TheraFace and Evertone Everlift, it’s important to go factor by factor and keep in mind what’s important for you.

 Technology and Mechanism
The TheraFace Microcurrent and Evertone Everlift both feature a similar mechanism. The two devices are both designed with metal nodes that help deliver a gentle yet targeted electric current to the skin and muscles. The domes fit comfortably over the contours of the face, allowing for a very intuitive treatment.

  The microcurrent settings are a little different, though. The Evertone Everlift has three microcurrent settings that go up to 350 microamps. This is enough to dramatically lift and tone the skin, but it’s not high enough for the electricity to be felt. The TheraFace device goes up to 500 microamps, which can generate a little bit of discomfort.

Customizability and Additional
Feature The TheraFace is a highly customizable tool, thanks to the several treatment attachments. In addition to the microcurrent head, it also comes with three massagers, a cleansing brush, and an LED light attachment. The Everlift is decidedly simple - it’s designed purely to emit a microcurrent, for those who are exclusively interested in improving their facial contours and achieving firmer, more lifted skin.

  That said, Evertone also produces the Infrawave, a 4-in-1 treatment wand that combines light therapy, microcurrent, heat, and vibrational massage all into one treatment. Unlike the TheraFace, the Infrawave makes it possible to enjoy all treatments at the same time, for a faster treatment with a variety of benefits.

 Cost
As is often the case, the biggest separating factor between the TheraFace microcurrent and Evertone is the price tag.

The Everlift is incredibly accessible, retailing for under $100. The TheraFace is significantly more expensive. In order to purchase both the base and microcurrent ring, you will have to spend $399, which also includes percussive massager heads, an LED light head, and a cleansing brush head.

   If you believe you will use all attachments, it’s a reasonable price, but if you’re primarily interested in microcurrent technology, the cost is too high. Therabody also sells the microcurrent ring alone, but at $149 it’s more expensive than the Everlift.
