NuFace Review

NuFace is a brand specializing in beauty devices for home use, especially microcurrent devices. The NuFace portfolio consists of a few different microcurrent devices, including the original NuFace Trinity, the second generation NuFace Trinity Plus, the NuFace mini, and various additional attachments.

 In this NuFace review, we’ll focus on the NuFace Trinity, but we’ll also touch on the NuFace Mini since they’re both incredibly popular and offer similar effects.

  The NuFace Trinity is a hand-held device with an on-button at the center and three treatment settings. NuFace Mini is a similar device, but it’s smaller in size and a little more portable as a result.

 Evertone Microcurrent Facial Device 

Evertone is a beauty brand focused on creating transformative devices and skincare to help women feel more confident from head to toe. Unlike NuFace, Evertone produces a broader range of products, from full-body care designed to fade stretch marks and cellulite to technologically advanced tools like microcurrent devices, LED wands, and even an IPL hair removal device.

  The Evertone EverLift is the brand’s microcurrent facial device. Like NuFace’s devices, it’s an ergonomic, handheld device that delivers low-grade electric stimulation to address loss of firmness in the skin. It’s a powerful yet simple device that’s easy to introduce into any beauty routine.

Both NuFace and Evertone rely on the power of microcurrent to deliver a numerous list of benefits. Here are the results you can expect from treating yourself regularly with an effective microcurrent device:

How do NuFace and Evertone’s microcurrent tools compare? Here’s our analysis of the key factors to consider!

Effects
Both NuFace and the Evertone EverLift are designed with similar microcurrent technology. They emit low-grade electrical to simulate both the skin and muscles, like a workout for your face and neck. The treatment provides the face with an immediate lift, to lift the brows and cheeks, and reduce the visibility of jowls or nasolabial folds.

  In the long-term, microcurrent can improve skincare absorption and boost blood circulation, to improve collagen production. That means it has a lasting anti-aging effect that helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, for a more youthful appearance.

 Design and Ease of Use
The technology and design of the two tools are similar. Both are hand-held devices with two domes on the top. The domes are designed to come in contact with the skin to emit the microcurrent. They’re ergonomic, which means that they’re comfortable and easy to hold for the duration of the treatment.

  Turning them on is as simple as pressing on a single button, applying the conductor serum, and massaging the device over the skin. That said, the NuFace Trinity requires a very high amount of serum - the brand recommends layering it on in a thick layer. The Evertone device is a little more flexible, and a more fluid serum allows for an easier glide over the skin even with a thinner layer of product.

 Intensity and Settings
This is where we did find some notable differences between NuFace and Evertone. NuFace’s maximum microamp output is 335, while Evertone emits 350 microamps. This isn’t a huge difference - both levels are well below what it’d take to actually feel the electricity. That said, the EverTone is still the more powerful option.

   The NuFace Trinity and Mini both have 3 settings, so it’s also possible to treat the face with less intensity. That said, many NuFace mini reviews mention that the maximum intensity already feels low, so the lower settings won’t have much utility for most users, especially those wanting to see faster results.

 Activator Serum
Microcurrent devices have to be used with an activator to conduct the microcurrent while allowing the device to glide more effectively over the skin. Both Evertone and NuFace have their own conductor serums or gels.

  According to Evertone, it’s best to use the EverLift device with its dedicated serum, the EverGlow Activator Serum, since that’s how microcurrent devices are tested by brands. The serum is made with hyaluronic acid, aloe, beetroot, and radish extracts to nourish and hydrate the skin while amplifying the device’s effects. That said, the brand says it’s also okay to use other water-based serums, as long as they have a similarly rich and hydrating composition.

  On the other hand, according to NuFace, you absolutely must use the Trinity with the brand’s own Aqua Gel Activator or the Silk Crème Activator. The Aqua Gel Activator is similarly made with hyaluronic acid, but also contains a trademarked blend of glacial water and sea silt said to enhance conduction.

  Both formulas are wonderfully hydrating, but with NuFace, you have to use a generous quantity of what is a fairly expensive product. That means you will likely need to replace it on a near-monthly basis, which can add up. With Evertone, the EverGlow’s light, serum texture spreads easily, so a little goes a long way.

  Cost
While prices can differ depending on retailers and promotions, the Evertone EverLift is consistently the more budget-friendly option compared to NuFace.

  The NuFace Trinity Classic, which is most comparable to the EverTone Everlift, costs $350, while the NuFace mini costs $220. NuFace also has a more advanced Trinity+ device that retails for $395.

  By comparison, the Evertone EverLift is much more affordable. At regular price, it costs $247 (which also includes a Gua Sha for the body). That said, you can often find it on sale when it costs as little as $98 - that’s less than a third of the cost of the NuFace. Considering it offers the same benefits and with slightly more power output, we think there’s no reason to splurge on the NuFace.

Pros and Cons

Bottom Line: Which to Buy?

Ultimately, NuFace Trinity, NuFace Mini, and Evertone EverLift share a lot of similarities. All are excellent microcurrent tools for anyone who hopes to see a lift in their skin. The devices offer both instant results, giving the skin a toned and lifted appearance, and long-term results by helping to improve skin firmness and visibility of fine lines and wrinkles.

  NuFace is the gentler option of the two tools, producing a maximum of 335 microamps along with several gentler settings. Evertone, on the other hand, has a 350 microamp output, which is more powerful but still gentle enough to ensure you don’t feel any discomfort.

  The second major difference is the cost. NuFace’s original Trinity device costs $350, while the upgraded Trinity+ is even more expensive. By comparison, the full-sized Evertone EverLift microcurrent tool can be had for as little as $98.

   In other words, if you’re looking for a product that offers the same results for better value, Evertone EverLift is a no-brainer. It delivers the perfect life of microcurrent energy to uplift and firm your skin, at an accessible price point. What’s not to like?
